I can understand that anybody who loves the original line up band wants to see them again and again. Like "Holgerstefanhart" I waited for 30 years to have such a moment (for me the first time). So I went up to England from Marburg, Germany to hear them playing in Oxford and London. And it was brilliant to see and hear how they improved within one day!!! Best regards to all Pentangle fans.

I´ve travelled from Munich to see them in the RFH on 29th June. I´ve waited over 30 years for this moment. It was absolutely amazing. I am glad to have been there.

Sorry, no disrespect to Clive. I just meant that he not so needed.. Johns guitar skills can make up for a fair few guitars playing at once.. I just like to see my fav two pentanglers alone on stage.. John Renbourn gets more cooler with age.. Have you seen some of the new stuff of Pentangles live performances on here?? Truly amazing.. Just search them by date added.. Some guy recored a whole concert.. Peace!!

That´s an unfair comment. Clive Carroll is one of today´s best acoustic guitar players of the world and has often toured with John Renbourn. Apart from these facts he is a very nice guy.

I don't like this Clive guy... I think it would be more magical without him there.. He does not really add anything to the performance.. I think a member from the John Renbourn Group would be more fitting.. |
